Expanding Retail Presence through Strategic Packaging Design
I was tasked with developing packaging design concepts for Essentia as they aimed to launch a new product and increase their in-store presence. The goal was to create visually compelling and strategically aligned packaging for a variety of potential products to be tested with consumers. Through innovative design, the concepts needed to resonate with Essentia’s brand while standing out on crowded retail shelves. This work was crucial for capturing more shelf space and expanding the brand’s market reach.
Designing Packaging Concepts for Consumer Testing
Essentia set out to expand beyond their ionized alkaline water into a new line of enhanced sports beverages. For this project, I explored product extension concepts ranging from pre- and post-workout drinks to customizable powdered packets and flavored zero-sugar options. My goal was to keep the brand’s signature clean, bold aesthetic with its iconic red accent, while pushing the boundaries by experimenting with new shapes and formats that would make these products stand out on the shelf in fresh, eye-catching ways.
